About Me

Nadia Townsend, BA(Hons), PGCE, PG Dip (Psychodynamic Psychotherapy), FPC, BPC.

I underwent a rigorous four-year training at WPF Therapy (one of the leading psychotherapy training establishments in the country) and now work full time as a psychotherapist. I have extensive experience of working with people in a whole range of stressful situations and have seen clients with various worries and difficulties, both in London and Brighton. I have also undertaken many years of intensive psychotherapy myself which means that I have a personal understanding of what this process can feel like.

It can be frightening and difficult to take the first step in asking for help but it can also provide a huge sense of relief to find a place where you can talk about difficult and perhaps overwhelming emotions.

As a professional psychotherapist, I am here to support you and help you explore and think about your feelings. Often we believe we know ourselves but there may be many aspects of our experience which we are not consciously aware of and this can get in the way of our peace of mind. Psychotherapy can help you to know yourself more and therefore live a more fulfilling life.
